The Vendor Funnel

How a supply store signs up, goes live, and sends us contractors

← Back to the automated sales funnel

A vendor is a supply house, lumber yard or rental shop that partners with us. It gets a profile on pro.ttscontractors.com, a table tent for its counter, and $200 for every contractor it sends us who joins the membership. We run its onboarding the same way we run a member's: a call, the research, and its Cornerstone. Homeowners never see vendor pages; they're on the contractor site.

The vendor's steps

From the landing page to a live profile and a table tent on the counter.

1

The landing page and Dan's video

The vendor lands on pro.ttscontractors.com/vendors/join/ and watches Dan explain what the store gets.

Script ready to record
2

A short form: name, website, email and phone. The vendor goes into GoHighLevel with the tags "vendor signup" and "vendor call not scheduled."

Next build
3

Book the onboarding call

The thank-you page says we've sent their secure profile link, and asks them to book their onboarding call now, with the calendar on the page.

Next build
4

They check the profile

They open their secure profile link from the email. It's already filled in from their website and Google listing: logo, description, photos, address, map, phone and hours. They fix anything and submit it.

Next build
5

The profile goes live

As soon as they submit, the profile goes up at pro.ttscontractors.com/vendors/<store>/ and on the Vendors page. If they haven't booked the call yet, we ask again here.

6

Onboarding

We run the call they booked, do their research, and build their Cornerstone.

7

Their GoHighLevel account

We make the vendor's own GoHighLevel account once the profile is complete.

8

Their two apps

Inside that account, the vendor edits the profile in one app and tracks the contractors they sent in the other.

What's on a vendor's profile

We fill in most of it from their website and Google listing, and the vendor checks it on their secure profile link. The page has a main area and a sidebar.

Store name
Supply house, lumber yard, rental shop, or other
Description. In the vendor's own words, as long or short as they want.
Photos. As many as they want.
What they sell. Checkboxes by trade: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lumber, tools and equipment rental, and so on.
The deal for TTS members. Optional. The vendor answers yes or no; a yes opens the fields for the deal. It shows only after our team confirms it with the vendor and turns it on.
Map of the store's address
with a "Get directions" button to Google Maps
Address, phone, website and hours
The area they serve or deliver to: a ZIP code and how many miles

How contractors find vendors

Two ways.

The Vendors page
  • pro.ttscontractors.com/vendors/ lists every live vendor by city.
  • A contractor can filter by type of store.
  • Each store shows its logo, name, type, and its member deal once it's turned on.
The table tent at the counter
  • The vendor's own QR code sends a contractor to the same first page as everyone else, the Score.
  • The code credits that contractor to the vendor.

The $200

What pays the vendor, and what doesn't.

A contractor scans the vendor's table tent or opens its link
→
He's credited to that vendor
→
He claims his free listing, or buys the $99 profile
pays the vendor nothing
→
He joins the membership
the vendor earns $200

The vendor sees each contractor they sent, and the $200 for each one who joined, on their tracking page.

Our team's side

Vendors get their own apps, separate from the contractor apps.

Vendor Hub, for our team
  • Tracks each vendor through onboarding, the way the Client Hub tracks contractors.
  • Its first screen is the switch that turns on a vendor's member deal. That screen comes in the next build; the rest of the hub comes later.
Two apps, for the vendor
  • Vendor Profile: edit and review the profile inside GoHighLevel.
  • Vendor Tracking: the link, the QR code, the table tent to print, the contractors sent, and the $200 earned.

Build order

All four builds go live together, after a fresh reviewer checks them.
